New Orleans Wedding Photography

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in southeast Louisiana. I photograph events throughout the New Orleans area, Baton Rouge, Slidell, Mandeville, Covington, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The images you see below and on subsequent pages are blog posts, which are “sneak previews” that I show a few days after every wedding. If you recently attended a wedding that I photographed and wish to view the full gallery, click on the Proofing link.

Louisiana During Mardi Gras

Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

Toward the end of our trip, we decided to do some touring in Madisonville. We began at Fairview-Riverside State Park, where we went through the historic Otis House, a beautiful old house on the Tchefuncte River. The original owner of the home was a lumber baron who moved his lumber from Madisonville to New Orleans across Lake Pontchartrain by boat. A great number of the wooden buildings in New Orleans were built with his lumber. The lady who conducted our tour really knew the history of the house and of Madisonville. We next visited the Madisonville Maritime Museum, where we learned more about the boats built in Madisonville, the Madisonville lumber business, and Madisonville during the Civil War. We learned that you can still see the old Madisonville Light House and drove out to view it. We had a great day in picturesque Madisonville.
